I received this picture of CF-OBN from rcharity@rogers.com in March 2004. The sender's grandfather (far right in the pic) flew planes for companies such as Austin.

This is the blog which goes alongside NoorduynNorseman.com, the Noorduyn family's website dedicated to the Norseman bush plane.
This is indeed an interesting photo. Don Watson (Later PWA Pres) purchased OBN off of Ontario Provincial Air Services in 1951. It saw service with Ontario Central Airlines until January of 1968, when Barney Lamm sold it to Jack Austin. The picture shows the airplane on skis and has Austin's ensignia on the door. This photo must have been taken some time between January and April of 1968 and OBN crashed at Winisk in the fall of that same year.

I worked at Austin Airways in 1965 and at Fort Albany with the HBC in 1963-64. I remember OBN as an Austin aircraft during this time.
